Ordinations 2026
Bishop David will ordain three presbyters/priests at services on 14 and 21 June. He invites you to attend these services which are for the whole diocese, and also to pray for the ordinands as they solemnly undertake to serve God and his Church.
Ordination of Presbyters/Priests
Bishop David will ordain two presbyters in Down Cathedral, Sunday 14 June at 3.30 pm. The preacher will be the Revd Simon Genoe, rector of Magheralin and Joint Diocesan Director of Ordinands.
Revd Matthew Gaw for the curacy of Donaghcloney & Waringstown
Revd Kyle Flanigan for the non-stipendiary curacy of Glencraig
Ordination of OLM Presbyter
Bishop David will ordain Revd Melanie Houston as a Presbyter for Ordained Local Ministry in the Parish of Ardkeen on Sunday 21 June at 6.00pm. The preacher will be the Revd Rory Blake-Knox, OLM for Moneyreagh Community Church.
