Remembrance Tide Organ Recital, St Mark's Dundela
You are warmly invited to a Remembrance Tide Organ Recital with Derick Weir at 6.30pm on Sunday 8 November in St Mark's Church, Dundela.
Derick comments: "Putting together a programme of organ music for remembrance tide was a rewarding challenge. I am a great fan of contemporary organ composers as well as the traditional organ writers. The listeners will be transported to a reflective space with music from Johann Sebastian Bach’s ‘O Mensch, bewein dein Sünde grob, BWV 622’ to the colourful ‘Prelude and Fugue on Thaxted’ by the young American composer, Daniel Ficarri. It will be lovely to see new faces at this special recital on Sunday."
There will be retiring collection for parish music ministry and refreshments served afterwards.
