Anthem Worship Workshop for young people
Aged 11-18 years old with a passion for worship? Book your place on our 2-day worship summer scheme in Holywood Parish Church on 17 & 18 August.
We'll introduce you to the basics of worship leading - who we worship, why we worship, and how we worship. Experienced worship leaders and tutors will be there to give guidance and help across a variety of instruments.
Cost: A subsidised £60 per person (plus Eventbrite booking fee). Lunch is included. Please get in touch if you need a bursary towards this amount.
The days will run between 10.00am (doors open at 9.45am) and 4.00pm at Holywood Parish Church. On the second day, parents/carers will be invited to join us for a brief showcase of everything the young people have learned. This will conclude around 4.45pm. Youth workers/volunteers/leaders are welcome to join if they'd like to know more about starting/facilitating youth worship in their context.
On the order form, we've asked how much experience you have in your chosen instrument. Although this event is suitable for all musical abilities, it's important that you have at least a basic understanding of your instrument before you arrive. If possible, we would like young people to bring their own instrument. Drums, keyboards, and amps can be provided. We're also offering the option of training in Sound and Visuals technology.
Book through Eventbrite HERE.
Please contact Simon at simonburrowes11@gmail.com for any music-related questions, and Andrew at abrannigan@downdromorediocese.org for anything else.
