Bible Week 2024

Do plan to join us from Tuesday 27-Friday 30 August for this year’s Bible Week with Bishop Stuart Bell. Stuart has entitled his teaching series, Tales of the Unexpected – A fresh look at four parables.

The parables are stories from Jesus which “still cut into the soul, slice away our concealments and address the deepest needs of humanity in every generation.” Don’t miss!

What’s in store
  • Tuesday 27 August: Unvarnished realism (Matthew 13:24–30, 36–43)

  • Wednesday 28 August: Unfinished business (Luke 13:1–9)

  • Thursday 29 August: Unfair grace (Matthew 20:1–16)

  • Friday 30 August: Unforeseen consequences (Luke 15:11–32)

As well as inspiring teaching, the Bible Week includes worship and prayer ministry. It is a wonderful opportunity for clergy, leaders and parishioners alike to be refreshed ahead of the busy autumn term.

Meet Bishop Stuart

Stuart has ministered for over fifty years in various parishes in Wales and is currently leading a new congregation called Fellowship 345 in Rhydypennau, Ceredigion. He was consecrated as a Bishop in the Anglican Convocation in Europe in March 2023.

Stuart is married to Prudence, a trained occupational therapist and magistrate and they have three children and three grandchildren. He is the author of ‘Recovering His Reputation’ which recounts his 25–year ministry in St Michael’s Aberystwyth. Stuart enjoys long distance walking, sea fishing and bread making.

Bible Week will begin each evening at 7.45pm in St Saviour’s, Belfast Road, Dollingstown, BT66 7JR.
