Chile trip ends at the Presidential Palace
The diocesan trip to our link diocese of Santiago has ended with a visit to the Presidential Palace.
Every Tuesday and Thursday the palace hosts a service where the evangelical churches take the opportunity to pray for Chile. The team attended yesterday and Bishop David was invited to bring greetings from Down and Dromore.
They were also shown some of the state rooms and experienced a little more of Chilean culture.
It was a busy day with a visit to the diocesan offices in the morning. The team met with the provincial staff and Bishop Juan Esteban. Discussions were wide ranging and mostly practical, especially regarding church planting. It was a good opportunity to get to know one another and strengthen the link.
Everyone was grateful to Ricardo, a former SAMS worker in Derryvolgie Parish, for translating.
Please pray for a safe and uneventful journey home. It’s a long one!
