OLM deadline approaching
Church leaders should be aware that the deadline for applications to train for Ordained Local ministry is approaching.
Ordained Local Ministers can be considered:
If as an incumbent you believe there is a ministry in your locality that warrants a person in ordained ministry of Word and Sacrament - especially, but not limited to - new initiatives of an outreach nature.
If you have identified someone who potentially could, as an OLM, serve fruitfully in that place. It may also be the case that there is a need for an OLM in your locality, but you need assistance in identifying someone that could serve there.
OLMs are not stipendiary and are trained via the Certificate of Christian Theology in Practice (CCTP) in CITI (stage 1) and 6 further modules over 18 months at CITI in Stage 2. Therefore anyone that currently has the CCTP (e.g. Diocesan Readers) may begin at Stage 2.

Bishop David will conduct a review of the need and a selection process will take place by 14 October if a person doesn't have CCTP and the end of October if they do
Successful candidates would begin training at the end of November which takes 2.5 years without CCTP and 1.5 years with it.
