Worship workshop encore!
Following the success of our previous two-day worship workshops for young people, we were keen to run another. And what an encore!
Twenty-five young people from six parishes came along to Holywood Parish Church on 17-18 August and explored what it means to lead worship with heart, skill and confidence.
Experienced musicians and worship leaders Simon Burrows (Holywood) and Jude Frame (Knocknagoney) once again coordinated the training, supported by a wonderful team of instrument, sound and visual specialists.
Over the two days, the young people received hands-on teaching and explored who we worship, why we worship, and how to lead others in musical worship.
They also developed skills for sound and visuals ministry, a vital part of worship leading.
The workshop ended with a fantastic showcase, as families came to watch the group lead three worship songs they had prepared together. It made everyone’s hearts sing!
A big thank you to Holywood Parish Church for hosting, and to Simon, Jude, and the musicians who gave their time to invest in a new generation of worship leaders.
