Down & Dromore onstage at Bangor Worldwide
Down and Dromore was well represented onstage at last night's Bangor Worldwide evening celebration in Bangor Elim Church.
Archdeacon Jim Cheshire hosted whilst Natalie Trainor, Pioneer Minister at The Grove, Newry, was the main speaker. Bishop David also spoke.
Natalie shared her experience of church planting and how it began, not with strategy but with going out onto the streets of Newry to see where God was already at work. She and her small team had many opportunities to pray with people and listen to them, and in time God provided a building in the centre of the city where a growing worshipping community now gathers.
Natalie urged us to do the same – to see, pray and listen, and to be quick to join in with what God is already doing where we are.
Bishop David also challenged us to keep evangelism at the top of our agendas and to be open to being sent out by God (John 20:19-23).
With thanks to Bangor Worldwide for the photographs.
