Prayer for revival continues
Parishes around the diocese continue to pray for revival with two further meetings this month in Lagan and Lecale Area Deaneries.
Around 70 people gathered to pray in Knockbreda Parish on Wednesday 20 May and the following evening 40 people met in Down Cathedral to worship and intercede for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit on every person who lives in our parishes.
Lecale Area Dean, Revd Dr Claire Aylward said: “We long to see renewal in our own faith, our congregations, and in our wider community and the week leading to Pentecost Sunday was the perfect time to gather to pray together.”
Bishop David has asked all the deaneries in the diocese to meet this year and pray for revival in their churches and communities.
