Ballywalter MU celebrates 85 years
Ballywalter Mothers’ Union celebrated their 85th Anniversary on Wednesday 13 May with a joyous and uplifting service in Holy Trinity.
The guest speaker was Mrs Hilary McClay who gave a very encouraging talk entitled 'Making our Lives Count'.
Revd Duncan Pollock, Mrs Lynda Thompson (Down and Dromore MU President), members of the Board of Trustees, branch members from St Mark's Newtownards and parishioners all attended the service. Refreshments including an anniversary cake were served in the Parochial Hall afterwards with plenty of friendship, fellowship, chat and laughter. It was a truly memorable occasion for Ballywalter Mother's Union - the last branch on the Ards Peninsula.
