Diocesan Resource Church has a new name
The Diocesan Resource Church at St Patrick’s Ballymacarrett is to be known as Six:Eight, marking a bold new chapter for the East Belfast parish. The name is inspired by Isaiah 6:8, “Here I am, send me.”
“Six:Eight captures the heart of the vision: to be a place where people encounter the presence of Jesus and are sent out to live for Him in every part of life,” says Lead Pastor, Revd Mike Darbandi.
Six:Eight will build on St Patrick’s long history as a vibrant, missional presence in East Belfast with the establishment of a new community, rooted in scripture and alive in the Spirit.
“Our heart is to serve the city, raise and equip leaders, strengthen communities and reach those who are far from faith,” says Mike.
Alongside the name, Six:Eight has launched a website and social channels as they begin to gather people and build towards a launch later in the year. You’re invited to be part of the story!
