New Sunday evening service in Ballylesson

This Sunday 1 February sees the resumption of evening services in Holy Trinity Ballylesson with a look back to the Ulster Revival and a plea that God would once again move in power in the parish.

The rector, Revd Mervyn Jamison explains:

“We named the service 1859 Praise, Prayer, Word as a reminder that in 1859 a move of God so impacted the Ballylesson Community the church had to be extended to accommodate the influx of worshippers.

“On the first Sunday of each month, we’ll meet for praise and worship, and on the other Sundays we’ll have a more focused time of bible study and prayer. We’ll look back with gratitude and look ahead with faith, crying out with the Psalmist in Psalm 85:6-7,

Will you not revive us again,
that your people may rejoice in you?
Show us your steadfast love, O Lord,
and grant us your salvation.”

All are welcome to come along - refreshments from 6.45pm, the service begins at 7.00pm.
