Book for the Castlewellan Weekend!
Each year the diocese runs a weekend in Castlewellan Castle for 11-18’s. It focuses on teaching, worship, small groups and lots of activities and is usually a big boost to youth groups and individual faith. This year's dates are Friday 20-Sunday 22 February.
The sessions will be on who Jesus is, Bible study and prayer so you could use this weekend as part of Confirmation preparation.
Everything at the weekend is organised for you and booking is directly through the diocese, so parishes just need to send a leader or two along with the young people.
The weekend caters well for groups of different ages and numbers so even bringing 2-3 people is something worth doing.
The cost is subsidised to £79 for young people and £49 for leaders (as long as they help out with the small group programme…!)
Deposit for a place is £29 on Eventbrite and parishes can decide to collect (and perhaps subsidise) the remaining amount or let parents pay it directly to the diocese.
