The Great Gingerbread Build!
Competition was fierce in St Donard's Bloomfield at 'The Great Gingerbread Build' to raise funds for SAMS and Bishop's Appeal Houses of Hope Christmas project.
The hall was full on Saturday 13 December as teams battled with soft icing and disappearing sweets. Teams went all in on design, decoration and structural integrity resulting in some truly impressive gingerbread creations. Prizes were awarded in four different categories.
There was laughter, lots of treats, festive fun and money raised for Houses of Hope which highlights the need for everyone to have a place to call home. The appeal is focussing on two projects in South America supported by the local Anglican Church, providing care for homeless families and individuals, and safe places for vulnerable young girls to live.
