New Area Dean for Lagan
Bishop David has appointed the Revd Canon Bill Press as Area Dean for Lagan in Down Diocese.
Bill has been rector of Knockbreda since 2014. He’s married to Claire, a teacher at Portadown College, and they have three children - Sam, Cara and Mark.
Bill said that he was delighted to be asked by the bishop to take on the role of Area Dean, having previously acted as such in Mourne for Bishop Harold Miller. With an emphasis on prayer and the ministry of the Word, Bill hopes to play his part in encouraging the churches in Lagan Deanery, building on the work of his predecessor, Revd Clive Atkinson.
