Toddlers at 10!

On Monday 17 November, the Toddler Group at St John’s Helen’s Bay, held a wonderful party to celebrate their 10th birthday.

It was November a decade ago, that a group of people from the Parish decided to set up Toddlers. Initially, it was a four-week project, and part of the Diocesan Year of Mission 2015.

Things went so well in those four weeks that the team decided to keep going into 2016. They kept going, and now toddlers from the early days are part of the Youth Group, and the new intake of Toddlers continue to love their time playing and making friends on a Monday morning.

We are very grateful to everyone who, over the years, have contributed to Toddlers. The wonderful team of volunteers have blessed our local community and church over this time, allowing parents, grandparents and carers a space to form lasting friendships.

A special mention must go to Christine Hunter who is pictured above with her two daughters and grandchildren. Christine has been guiding Toddlers from the early days with passion, diligence and dedication. Thank you Christine!

We are grateful to God for our Toddler Group and trust the time ahead into His hands, giving thanks for all that has gone before.

With thanks to Revd Peter Hilton, Rector of Helen's Bay
