Kerygma Choir Finale Concert

Ten eventful years after the formation of Kerygma, The Good News Choir, Musical Director, Lorna Palmer Wagstaff, will step down at the end of December.

Lorna and the choir would love you to join them for their finale concert, an inspirational Songs of Praise, on Saturday 13 December at 7.00pm in Down Cathedral.

The evening will also feature Junior Kerygma, and a special guest appearance by Dana (above right) who will perform her song, Light the Fire.

Admission is free (a retiring offering will be collected).

Bishop Harold Miller invited Lorna to form the choir for the Diocesan Year of Mission in 2015.

“We hit the ground running with our first performance on St Patrick’s Day in Down Cathedral with former Archbishop Justin Welby as special guest”, she recalls. “We never envisaged that Kerygma would continue for so long, but God has used the choir to bless its members and audiences over the years – and directing the choir has been a real privilege for me also.

“I want our 10th anniversary concert to be a joyous occasion – a wonderful celebration of 10 years of Kerygma’s life and service - and it’s fitting that our finale will take place in Down Cathedral, where it all began. We do hope you will join us.”
