Eleven confirmed in Killinchy Parish Church
Bishop David confirmed five young people and six adults at Killinchy Parish Church on Sunday 21 September. The bishop preached on Matthew’s gospel chapter 4 verses 18-22 and encouraged those in attendance to follow Jesus in life.
The candidates were presented to the Bishop for confirmation by the Rector and Mr Timon Molloy.
Each of the candidates professed their own personal faith in Jesus Christ, before being confirmed. The bishop spoke to them about the importance of reading the Bible for guidance and direction, and presented them with individual bibles and daily devotionals.
After the Confirmation service, the congregation, made up of family and friends, enjoyed a barbecue in the neighbouring grounds.
