Revd Andrew Frame is ordained presbyter
We're delighted for Andrew Frame who was ordained presbyter (OLM) on Sunday 6 July at a celebratory service in Knocknagoney Parish Church.
A large (and youthful) congregation turned out in support of Andrew and Jude and their family as they embarked on a new chapter of ministry in Knocknagoney. Archdeacon Mark Harvey gave the address and the worship band was made up of the combined talents of Knocknagoney, Holywood Parish and St Brendan's Sydenham.
Andrew reflects on his time as a deacon
I have been leading Knocknagoney Parish for around four and a half years and for the last two years I have been a deacon.
It has been a busy and fruitful two years and I have continued to learn a lot in that time under the supervision of Archdeacon Jim Cheshire.
Our church family has grown in number and in depth of faith. Highlights include starting a new Small Group and our monthly joint Worship Nights with neighbouring Parishes. We have had a number of people come to faith in Jesus, others step into ministry and leadership and a good number engage in outreach opportunities.
I have particularly enjoyed engaging in Schools Ministry in our local primary school as well as becoming a civilian Chaplain in Palace Barracks and I love being Chaplain of our Girls Brigade Company.
Our prayer as a church is that God would build his kingdom through people coming to faith, build his church through new people and families joining and that he would build our resources for mission and ministry.
The future is exciting for Knocknagoney Parish Church!
