God at work on the Lower Newtownards Road
We give thanks for the moving of God’s Holy Spirit among us as The Gathering partners with local organisations to make a lasting, Christ-centred impact in our community.
Through outreach events and youth engagement, we’re witnessing His presence among the young people of the Pitt Park area, especially as we approach the 12th July bank holiday. Please keep praying for the young people, our leaders, and all those working together to bring hope and light.
A night of light and laughter at Laser Quest
What a night! God’s joy was evident as young people and even the adults had a brilliant time at Laser Quest. It was more than just fun, it was community, connection, and care in action. We’re deeply thankful for the Spirit-led unity between Pitt Park Residents Association, East Belfast Mission, and The Gathering Church. May God continue to bless these relationships and all who attended.
Fishing, fellowship, and God’s creation
At Beechill Fishery, God’s creation was enjoyed by all as young people experienced the peace and thrill of fishing together. Congratulations to Beth and Cayden for their great catches! The evening ended with food, laughter, and community - simple moments that reflect God’s goodness and provision. Thank you, Lord, for the hands that made it possible and the hearts that were lifted.
Game Locker: Building Community Through Play
The Game Locker returned on Friday 4 July, an evening full of joy, connection, and opportunity for young people to engage in a safe, welcoming space. We believe the Holy Spirit moves even through gaming, drawing young hearts into fellowship and fun.
All of these events have been made possible through the faithful partnership of Pitt Park Residents Association, East Belfast Mission, The Gathering Church and of course Belfast Council with the summer community diversionary fund.
Above all, we give glory to God, whose Spirit continues to guide and bless this work. May His Kingdom come in East Belfast.
There’s lots more to come in the coming days. Keep up with all the events on our Facebook and Instagram pages.
