Encounter '25 - Save the Date

We’re thrilled to announce the date of our next Encounter event for women in Down and Dromore. We’ll be gathering from 9.30am on Saturday 22 February 2025 in St John’s Parish Centre, Moira and our speakers will be Jo Soper and Millie Bellew.

Jo Soper

Jo's early christian life was impacted significantly by time working with Jackie Pullinger’s organisation in Hong Kong. After meeting and marrying Jon, and working for a mental health charity in Brixton, she left London to start Exeter Network Church with her husband and son Bart back in 2004.

Since then, they have planted churches locally which shape themselves around mission, Scripture and living a life fuelled by the Spirit.

Jo studied theology in Oxford and London and taught at Westminster Theological Centre until 2022. She loves helping others read the Bible well, and equipping people to be set free and changed through an encounter with God’s truth and love.

Millie Bellew

Millie Bellew is passionate about faith, families, and fostering. Married to Laurence, who is a youth and community pastor, she currently lives in Lurgan but is originally from Norfolk in England. Mille and Laurence have a 1-year old son, Daniel and are also foster carers.

With a PhD in family faith formation, Millie serves as the Children’s Development Officer for the Diocese of Down and Dromore and is also a Research Fellow at Stranmillis University College, exploring how schools and churches can unite to combat educational underachievement.

Tickets will be released in December so please share the news now and save the date!

About

Encounter is a morning of worship, Bible teaching and fellowship and is for all women from all our parishes.

We will worship together, hear the Bible taught in practical and encouraging ways, have brunch together and the opportunity for prayer.

We’re looking forward to seeing you and some friends on Saturday 22 February 2025.
