Vacancy for a Rector, Bloomfield
The Parish of St Donard, Bloomfield, in the Church of Ireland Diocese of Down and Dromore, seeks to appoint a RECTOR who is:
- A gifted communicator who preaches the Bible and can relate it to contemporary life and its challenges.
- Able to share his or her sound biblical knowledge and understanding of God’s truths with people at different stages in faith and life.
- An encourager who can spot the talents and gifts already present in the congregation and empower others to use their skills for God, building a strong ministry team.
- A people person with a clear heart for evangelism and community outreach who has a passion for sharing Jesus with people who are outside the church.
- A maker of disciples of those who are already Christians in the parish, drawing them closer to Jesus.
- Well–versed in pastoral matters and understands the importance of visiting the sick and suffering.
- A leader who is willing to try new ventures and take risks to advance God’s kingdom, using his or her strategic thinking and organisational skills to step out in faith.
(St Donard’s is situated in East Belfast at the intersection of the Bloomfield and Beersbridge Roads.)
