Knock Parish dedicate their new roof
Lord Eames was the special guest at St Columba’s, Knock, on Sunday 12 June as the parish dedicated a new church roof.
The Rector, Canon John Auchmuty said:
“It was a great joy to welcome many parishioners and friends from the community to St. Columba’s for our Patronal Festival Eucharist on Sunday when Lord Eames dedicated the new church roof to the glory of God.
“It was a most uplifting service of thankfulness and encouragement with inspirational music. Following the service Lady Eames and Caroline Auchmuty cut the beautiful cake to mark the significant occasion which we all enjoyed with coffee both at the West End of the church and also outside on the new lawn.
“I thank all those parishioners both past and present, members of the community and the National Churches Trust for their generous financial support enabling us to successfully replace the entire roof which was all completed in our 125th anniversary year”.
