Clive West Memorial Trust Lecture 2021

This year’s lecture will be given by Revd Dr John Yates III (PhD, Cambridge).  John is rector of an Anglican church in North Carolina and is a writer, thinker, leader and shaper of a renewed and faithful worldwide Anglicanism.

His topic is, ‘Hearing God’: how do we hear God? How do we know that it is God speaking? Amidst the clamour of other voices, competing for the church’s attention, how important is it to hear God in the 21st Century church?

John has contributed to the ‘Reformational Anglicanism’ series and worked as study assistant to the late John Stott. He spoke at the Gafcon International conference in Nairobi in 2013, giving one of the plenary addresses. This is his first time speaking in Ireland.

The lecture is on Thursday 11 November at 7.30 pm in St Nicholas Church, Lisburn Road, Belfast.

There is parking in the car park behind the Fire Station on the Lisburn Road and the event is free. There will be the opportunity to contribute to the work of the trust.
