Learning about biblical leadership

Thirty–seven people gathered at the Kilbroney Centre last weekend for a Young Leaders Summer Camp aimed at Christians aged 17–21 years.

Over 3 days we looked at how a call to leadership is upon every one of us and through teaching, discussion, and prayer the group explored how to develop biblical leadership in their lives. It was exciting to be with people who want to grow in faith and in God–centred leadership.

The fantastic weather meant that all the teaching, worship and dining was ‘al fresco’ which, together with COVID testing, mean that the event was COVID–secure. For once the main problem was too much heat and not enough cloud!

The group also got to explore aspects of leadership through challenges, games, outdoor activities (thankfully water based!) and a ‘Great British Bake–off’ challenge that had all the same heat problems as the TV version.

The Kilbroney Leadership Camp was funded by the Education Authority’s ‘Access for All’ Summer Programme and we are grateful to the EA for making the event possible.
