Three Diocesan Evangelists Commissioned
Congratulations to our three new Diocesan Evangelists who were commissioned at a special service in Bangor Parish Church on Ascension Day, 13 May.
Bishop David commissioned Jonny Tate (Bangor Parish Church), Luke McCallum (Moneyreagh Community Church) and James Crockett (Braniel Community Church). Capt Jasper Rutherford, the European Director for Christ In Youth and a commissioned Church Army officer, gave the address.
All three have successfully completed the 2 year Evangelism Training Course which is distance learning based. The course is accredited by St John’s College, Nottingham, and run in collaboration with New Wine Ireland. The Warden of Evangelists, Capt George Newell (CA) also took part in the service (pictured above left).
