Appointment to Rathfriland and Ballyward
Congratulations to Revd Ian Linton who has been appointed incumbent of the Grouped Parishes of Rathfriland (Drumgath) and Ballyward (Drumgooland).
Ian is currently rector of the Parish of Drumragh with Mountfield, Omagh, in the Diocese of Derry and Raphoe.
Speaking of his appointment Ian said:
“Following a period of discernment, my wife Amanda and I believe in our hearts that the Lord has opened the door for our move to Rathfriland and Ballyward. We shall be sorry to say farewell to the people of Omagh and Mountfield, where it has been a privilege to serve as rector, and where our knowledge of God’s goodness and faithfulness has been deepened. Equally, we are filled with anticipation as we prepare to move on, and to share in the work of ministry with God’s people in such a beautiful part of County Down.”
