Death of Mrs Mary Moore
Mrs Mary Moore has died after a short illness. Mary was the much–loved wife of the late Jimmy Moore, Archdeacon of Down (1989–1995) and Bishop of Connor (1995–2001).
Following parish ministries in Belvoir, Groomsport and Dundela, the Moores retired from Connor to Bangor and St Columbanus Ballyholme.
Mary took her usual place at the early service of Holy Communion in Ballyholme as recently as last Sunday.
Bishop Harold said, “I was deeply saddened to hear of the sudden death of Mary Moore. Mary exuded life and warmth and was a wonderful companion to bishop Jimmy. We will all miss her very much.”
Funeral arrangements will follow but in the meantime please pray for Mary’s son Peter, daughter Gillian and the wider family circle.
