Three new Diocesan Evangelists Commissioned

Monday 04 June 2018

Congratulations to our three new Diocesan Evangelists who were commissioned at a special service in Willowfield Parish Church on Sunday evening 3 June.

Bishop Harold, who also preached at the service, commissioned Glynis Matchett (Willowfield), Norman Gibson (Kilmore & Inch) and Stuart Hooks (Braniel Community Church).

All three have successfully completed the 2 year Evangelism Training Course which is distance learning based. The course is accredited by St John’s College, Nottingham, and run in collaboration with New Wine Ireland. Capt George Newell (CA) coordinates the course and led the service.

Meet our newest evangelists who, in addition to serving in their home parishes, may have a wider diocesan brief:

Glynis Matchett (Lay Evangelist, Willowfield)

Stuart Hooks (Lay Evangelist, Braniel Community Church)

Norman Gibson (Outreach Coordinator, Kilmore & Inch)
