Introducing Diocesan Evangelist, Stuart Hooks

The most important part of my life now is my faith.

Knowing that everything is possible with God and being able to share this thought with family, friends and people I meet is certainly not where I was before my road to Damascus moment as I really had no knowledge of the Bible or church life.  Finding faith has not only changed my life but has also affected the lives of family and friends.

Being a father of four daughters, one son and five grandchildren, I feel it is important to leave a footprint that shows them that getting to know Christ would help them all in their daily lives.

I took the evangelist course to gain knowledge of Christ and Christianity always knowing that it would challenge me in many ways. This indeed was the case, but I am glad to say that my faith has become stronger and my knowledge of Christianity and church life has been broadened.  Too many Christians fall into the trap of religion and the do’s and don’ts that religion brings.

This course has very much made me a follower of Jesus who was and will always be the answer to faith.

What comes next for me?  I will leave that up to God to decide.  I am sure he has plans for me.

Stuart is part of Braniel Community Church and will be serving as a Lay Evangelist.
