4–Peaks Challenge Information Evening

The 4 Peaks challenge is a great opportunity to conquer the highest peaks in the UK, get some adventure post–lockdown and see some of the best parts of the country. It’s also a proper challenge!

There are 4 mountains to climb in 3 days, not much sleep and lots of hours in a mini–bus that will steadily become more odorous over the weekend! On the plus side it will be an experience you will be talking about for years to come!

This challenge is open to anyone aged 18–81 years but will best suit those who have done a bit of walking before. In terms of fitness if you are able to climb Slieve Donard without lots of long stops then you are probably fit enough for this.

We will organise travel, accommodation and guides but you will be responsible for your own food, insurance and care. Cost looks to be in the region of £250 for the trip.

Itinerary

To give you a rough idea of the itinerary we will leave early on Friday 20 May and climb Donard, then ferry from Dublin to Holyhead followed by dinner out and then overnight in a Travel Lodge. Saturday we’ll get up very early and climb Snowdon then travel to Scafell Pike and climb it on the same day. Then it’s a long drive up to Scotland, overnight in another Travel Lodge and Ben Nevis on Sunday morning. Then travel to Cairnryan for the ferry to get us back home around 11.00 pm Sunday night.

Click here to sign up here for an information evening in Belfast on Monday 14 March at 7.30 pm.

We will give you more information and the opportunity to sign up for the challenge that takes place over the weekend of 20–22 May.

In the meantime, if you have any questions, please contact Andrew Brannigan on andrew@downanddromore.org or via mobile on 07950 846621.
