Diocesan Synod 2021
Diocesan Synod 2021 will take place online on Thursday 24 June. It is the main business meeting of the diocese.
Because of COVID restrictions upon in–person gatherings, it is not possible this year to welcome the over 300 members of diocesan synod to a single location.
Bishop David, the secretariat and the assessor will gather safely at Shankill Parish Church whilst members will join the broadcast via Zoom.
A major feature and the first main item on the synod agenda is the Presidential Address, the bishop’s opportunity to speak to the leaders of the diocese. This is Bishop David’s first diocesan synod as bishop.
The day will begin with a Service of Holy Communion when we will welcome a guest speaker over video.
