Introduction to National Churches Trust Grant Programmes

A very helpful ONLINE workshop introducing how places of worship can access funding for regular maintenance, urgent repairs, project development and facilities installation.

From repairing a roof to helping to install an accessible toilet – and many other projects – grants from the National Churches Trust help keep churches open for worship and community activities and allow them to continue to serve people and communities in all sorts of ways. They provide grants for projects costing anywhere between £500 and over £100,000 for places of worship in the UK to carry out maintenance and urgent repairs.

The session will cover:

  • What the Grants Programmes fund;
  • Which is the right Grant Programme for your project;
  • What you will need to have in place to be able to apply;
  • How to apply;
  • Timescales and deadlines;
  • What makes a good application;
  • What happens after you submit an application.

The presentation will last about 45 minutes with 15 minutes for questions and discussion afterwards.

When: Monday 25 October from 11–12.00 midday

Anybody involved in looking after historic places of worship is able to attend. The event is free of charge and the presentation (in pdf form) will be emailed to all attendees afterwards.

Keith Gardiner, our Fundraising Officer for Church Growth has attended a similar session and recommends it: “I thought it was very sensible, practical and helpful and good use of an hour if churches need to undertake urgent repairs or are planning a major building project.”
