Just two weeks into his first incumbency Bishop David’s wife Irene was diagnosed with cancer and subsequently died. He shares how the Holy Spirit comforted and began to restore him in his grief. Canon Roly Heaney is the rector of Dunganstown Union, Co Wicklow, in the Diocese of Dublin and Glendalough. He grew up in Annalong, close to the Silent Valley where the series was filmed and has been a friend of Bishop David’s for many years.
