Arrangements for guests at service on 25 January

We’re very much looking forward to the service on 25 January when the Ven David McClay will be ordained as Bishop of Down and Dromore in St Anne’s Cathedral.

The Cathedral will be filled to capacity so we’d be grateful if guests and clergy would please note the important information below.
Seating
  • Please be seated by 3:10pm at the latest in time for the procession.
  • Please stand for the procession.
  • There is no need to bring printed tickets with you.
Parking
  • There is limited parking at the Cathedral on the Academy Street side (between Cathedral and University of Ulster). These spaces will fill up quickly.
  • On street parking is available in the immediate vicinity of the Cathedral.
  • Multi–storey car park at the MAC, accessed via Dunbar Link (5–minute walk)
  • Small public car park at the bottom of Talbot Street (5–minute walk).
  • Small public car park in Donegall Street (toward City Centre, 5–minute walk).
  • Multi–storey car park at Hi–Park, just off High Street (10–minute walk)
Robing

All clergy and lay readers who have indicated that they intend to robe for the service should arrive no later than 2.30 pm as they will be in the Procession at 3.10 pm.  On arrival you will be directed to the relevant rooms within the Cathedral complex as noted below:

Visiting Dignataries and other Church Leaders
Staff Common Room

Blue Room of the Crypt                                                      

Please collect your belongings as quickly as possible after the service.

For those who wish to wear stoles the liturgical colour is white.
