Youth Work Post, Seagoe

Seagoe Youth Group seeks to appoint a temporary staff member to lead its Extended Provision Youth Team until 31 March 2019 with the possibility of extension (dependent upon funding).

Seagoe Youth Group is the umbrella body of the various youth groups (uniformed and non–uniformed) of Seagoe Parish Church, Portadown.  It offers a wide range of activity from its Youth Centres at Killicomaine and Seagoe. 

The Extended Provision Team is tasked to work with unattached young people in the local community and schools seeking to incorporate them into its Youth Programme.

Seagoe Youth Group Management Committee oversees and manages the Youth Leader in Charge, who in turn oversees the Extended Provision Team.  The Team consists of a Youth Support Worker in charge (24hrs), Youth Support Worker (15hrs) and up to three Assistant Youth Support Workers (6–9hrs). In addition there may be volunteer team members where necessary.

Applicants should note that a significant proportion of the sessions worked will be between 6.00 pm and 10.00 pm at night – normally including a session on Saturday Night.
