A Brexit Prayer for Everyone

The Association of English Cathedrals have written a special prayer for Brexit and are inviting people to come and pray as we draw nearer to the debate in the House of Commons on the Government’s Brexit proposals on Tuesday 11 December.

Last week the Very Revd Henry Hull, Dean of Down, also encouraged churches to prayer as Brexit is debated and voted upon.

St Margaret’s, Hollymount (Down Parish) and Down Cathedral will be open on 11 December for prayer (9.30 am –5.30 pm) and specific times of led prayer will be arranged at 12 noon and 5.30 pm.

Please commit yourself to pray at this crucial time in our history.

God of reconciling hope,
as you guided your people in the past
guide us through the turmoil of the present time
and bring us to that place of flourishing
where our unity can be restored,
the common good served
and all shall be made well.
In the name of Jesus we pray.

Amen.
