Holywood Parish celebrated Harvest and the launch of ‘Down to Earth’ with two special services and a parish lunch on Sunday 14 October.
The ‘Down to Earth’ programme is a multi–faceted way to inform, challenge and invite people into a deeper personal involvement in the life and mission of the church.
Parishioners were also encouraged to participate in ‘Starter for Ten’ – to take away £10 and make it grow so that it can be reinvested in the work of the Kingdom at home and abroad.
The 9.45 am and 11.00 am congregations joined together for the morning service which included the launch of a history of the parish building and a performance by the Junior Choristers, several of whom received their medals.
