Holywood Parish a prizewinner in communications competition
Congratulations to Holywood Parish whose magazine was runner–up in Parish magazines/newsletters category of the Church of Ireland Communications Competition. The competition focused this year solely on print.
The judges commented:
‘Attractive, colourful cover, certainly something that wouldn’t look out of place in a library or community building. Outreach potential boosted by insert to “Holywood Hope”, encouraging readers to pass on to friends and family who perhaps don’t go to church. A strong community feel showing its passion for the local people. Keep up the good work.”
First prize went to ‘Kilternan Klips’ – Kilternan Parish, Dioceses of Dublin & Glendalough.
Holywood’s Vicar, Canon Gareth Harron, is pictured accepting the prize from Bishop Pat Storey, Chairman of the Central Communications Board.
