Celebration as more than 80 people respond during mission

The Bible tells us clearly in Luke 15:7, “Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety nine righteous persons who need no repentance” (ESV).

We celebrate this week after a tremendous 3 night mission in Willowfield Church during which more than 80 people responded to the gospel, 42 of whom accepted Jesus as their Saviour for the very first time.

The mission was a joint venture between Willowfield Parish, St Brendan’s Sydenham and Chris and Debs Snook from Heaven’s Gates Hells Flames UK. This is a ministry which presents the gospel through an evangelistic drama which has been used all over the world.

Commissioned Parish Worker, Joe Turner, said “ This was so much more than John Menagh* or I could have hoped for. We were obviously delighted at the tremendous numbers of responses from those who came to experience the truth of the gospel through this fantastic drama, but more than that, the relationships that flourished between the cast from the two churches as they stepped out of their comfort zone to serve God together was a beautiful sight. Having only had 36 hours to learn their lines everyone did exceptionally well, and with those who selflessly served practically like Claire on the mics and props and Graham on the spotlight, and the team who helped setup and take down all of the equipment, we certainly had a great team. We feel blessed to have been involved in this event and look forward to working together again in the near future.”
