Annual Quiet Day takes place in Carryduff

Serving and retired clergy, Church Army and parish workers have gathered for the annual Quiet Day in St Ignatius Carryduff.

The day centres around worship and reflection and always takes place on Shrove Tuesday in preparation for Lent.

The speaker this year was Revd Preb Charles Marnham, Vicar of St Michael’s Chester Square in the Diocese of London.

Charles took ‘Leading Well’ as his theme, and gave three addresses: Maintaining your spiritual passion, Caring for the Church and Looking after yourself.

The day also included the consecration and distribution of oil for healing.
