Simon says – an interview with our National Youth Officer
In November 2016 Simon Henry was appointed to the newly created role of Church of Ireland Youth Officer.
Simon is well known in Down and Dromore as the Youth Ministry Coordinator in St John’s, Moira, where he served for almost ten years, and as a larger than life figure in the diocese’s youth and children’s work! He is also a Diocesan Evangelist based in Moira Parish.
Simon brings to his post a wealth of knowledge of youth engagement with the church and a practical understanding of parish and diocesan youth ministry opportunities. As Youth Officer, he leads the CIYD team, encourages its strategic development, and is a resource to dioceses across the island.
