Saturday Night Live Christmas Special

Over 80 young people from all over the Diocese attended the Christmas Special of Saturday Night Live on 3rd December in Ballybeen. Hosts, Craig Lutton and Sarah Hughes started off the night with some festive fun. The first game challenged the young people to make reindeer antlers out of a pair of tights and balloons and the second involved turning a member from each group into a Christmas present with wrapping paper.

After a time of worship Billy Fyffe spoke on the theme “What’s Christmas got to do with it.” Billy explained why Jesus is the greatest gift and the young people were encouraged to respond through different prayer activities in the prayer tent.  To end the evening the young people enjoyed some hot chocolate and festive treats.

Mark Wells, Youth and Children’s Ministry Co–Ordinator in Banbridge shares his thoughts on the event,

“Saturday Night Live has been a great opportunity for different youth groups from the diocese to come together for a bit of fun and worship. This month we brought 11 of our young people and they all had an absolute blast. It was lovely to have a bit of festive fun and centre it all on the fact that Jesus was the ultimate gift given for us, with a really engaging and challenging word from Billy Fyffe. Altogether our young people left the night having had a great time and being really challenged to live for Jesus this Christmas.”
