Pray for upcoming visits to South Sudan

As Nina Coffey and Jane Corbett (right) and a team from St John’s, Moira, get prepared for their respective journeys to South Sudan in January, please pray:

  • For safe travel and good health
  • That those going might shine with the light of Jesus wherever they go and to whomever they meet
  • For family and friends who will miss them

Maridi

As Jane and Nina get closer to their departure, they would really value your prayers:

  • For peaceful hearts in this busy holiday period.
  • For the people in Maridi who they are going to visit, as they prepare to welcome and take care of them.
  • For wisdom and discernment as they listen to and see the results of the Oil Tanker explosion. For real empathy for our brothers and sisters, many have lost family members and others who are left handicapped and disfigured.
  • As they teach the Sanitary towel project to the people from the Diocese of Olo. They may not be able to visit them, due to the security situation, but Bishop Justin hopes to bring some to visit and work with us in Maridi.
  • For Jane and Nina’s families at home, especially Nina’s husband Clive and children Freya and Ruairia.
  • Hold Bishop Justin in your prayers and his family, at present in Uganda. Please remember him as he takes up his studies again in Mukona Christian University in January ( at the end of their visit).
  • That they will be an encouragement to Bishop Justin, his clergy and the people of Maridi as they continue to live in an unstable political situation.

Ibba

The folks from St. John’s Moira ask you to pray:

  • That God will remain central in all that they do, and in their lives and the lives of those they meet
  • That they will maintain a focus on God’s priorities throughout the visit
  • For a strengthening of their partnership with Ibba because of the visit
  • For teamwork and unity for the team and all those travelling together
  • For family and friends at home
