LAMP (Lecale Area Mission Partnership)

The Lecale Area Mission Partnership (LAMP) is a strategic grouping that seeks to serve and be a light in the Lecale area of County Down.

LAMP was launched in January 2015. It comprises 14 churches drawn from three parish groups – Lecale, Down and Bright, Ballee, Killough and Rathmullan – and currently ministers to over 500 households.

Resources are continually under review to better reach and serve this beautiful and largely rural part of the diocese which fans out from Downpatrick to Seaforde and out along the coast to Ardglass and Tyrella. The Lecale Area has a rich spiritual heritage, centred around, but not exclusive to, Down Cathedral and Saul.

The rector, Dean Henry Hull, leads a team that includes Revd Adrian Dorrian (Vicar) and Revd Julie Bell (part–time) plus several retired colleagues.
