Contemplative Prayer at Clandeboye Chapel

On Saturday 8 June, Archdeacon Richard Dadswell will lead a morning of guided reflection in Clandeboye Chapel at Clandeboye House (Parish of Bangor Abbey).

Archdeacon Dadswell will offer a gentle introduction to silent prayer according to the method of the Fellowship of Contemplative Prayer (www.contemplative–prayer.org.uk). The essence of the morning is to offer space and stillness to listen to God.

Programme

  • 9.30 am coffee/tea
  • 10.00 am Introduction to Contemplative prayer
  • 10.15 – 11.00 am  A Contemplation (based on direct words spoken by God or Jesus as recorded in the Bible)
  • Break
  • 11.15–12.15 am  A second Contemplation
  • 12.30 pm Contemplative Communion
  • Lunch

Tea/coffee will be provided but please bring your own lunch. The morning is free but you may make a donation.
