Glen Community Church Christmas Tree Festival
08 Dec 2017 — 10 Dec 2017
The Christmas Tree Festival is part of the bi–centenary celebrations of St Mark’s, Newtownards, the Glen’s ‘sending’ church.
This event will support the sustainability of St Mark’s church family in the Glen, as well as being a blessing to the school community.
From Friday, December 8 through to Sunday, December 10 the Festival will be staged in Londonderry Primary School, Glenbrook Road, Newtownards where the Church Plant meets for worship and some of its mid–week outreach.
Friday 8.00 pm–10.00 pm
Saturday 10.00 am–10.00 pm
Sunday 2.00 pm–6.00 pm.
The larger spaces within the school will be transformed into a Dickensian backdrop to complement the many bespoke Christmas Trees designed by members of the church family, pupils from the school, the local community and businesses.
The school orchard will be specially lit, bringing to life a beautiful winter wonderland, complete with Santa’s Grotto.
On the Saturday, from 10.00 am–4.00 pm, there will be an outdoor Christmas Market, where many crafters and sellers will gather to bring a unique blend of seasonal gifts. The Christmas Marquee will accommodate individual stalls and attractions.
The team at GCC will also be serving hot food and refreshments throughout the weekend.
Morning Tea (Sat 10–12), Lunch (Sat 12–2pm), Afternoon Tea (Sat and Sun 2–5pm) or a Christmas Supper (Sat 6–8pm). Contact Gemma on 07512828498.
