About Us

The Present

Welcome! That is central to us as a family here in Bangor Parish Church. It is the hallmark of a loving family and so we strive to make everyone welcome, who comes to us as our guest. But it doesn’t end there! Our prayer is that every guest will, in their own time, become a member of God’s family among us. We run Alpha Courses regularly to help guests investigate the joys and responsibilities of being a family member. The next step is growing more like Jesus Christ within this family, which is why we have a network of small groups offering a place to belong, learn and grow. Finally, we encourage family members to be active in loving and serving each other and in encouraging others to join the family. We hope you’ll come to see us in our family home.

The Future

The Lord plans to build a mighty church here in Bangor. This church will involve many local churches, and will once again cause Bangor to be known as ‘The Light to the Nations’. Bangor Parish Church will be at the very tip of this powerful arrow, which gets to the root of societal problems in North Down. We believe that the Lord will bring 3,500 people each weekend to worship Him in Bangor Parish Church what a sight that will be! Come Lord Jesus.
