The Daily Office
The 2004 Book of Common Prayer includes a simple structure for Daily Prayer. Some people find it very useful to have a more definitely structured ‘shape, for daily devotions based on the model of Morning or Evening Prayer.
Retreat and Contemplative Prayer
Retreat is an opportunity to withdraw from all the cares and pressures of the world to a quiet place. Some of the religious orders are very pleased for their houses to be used for personal retreats by arrangement (for example the Benedictine Monks in Rostrevor with whom the Diocese of Down and Dromore has a very warm relationship).
Online resources
24–7 Prayer – International prayer site with resources to set up your own 24/7 prayer room.
Emerging Church Lava Lamp – an online space to pray, with a contemporary focus.
