Vacancy for Organist and Choir Director
The Rector and Select Vestry of St Dorothea’s Church, Parish of Gilnahirk, seek to appoint an Organist and Choir Director to:
- Lead and develop our robed choir, in traditional and contemporary worship
- Accompany the choir and congregation on the organ and piano at our morning services
We are looking for:
- An individual who is sympathetic to the liturgy and teachings of the Church of Ireland
- An accomplished organ–player and musician seeking to experience leading music in worship alongside a choir
- A well organised communicator and team player
The Organ was built by Wells Kennedy in 1977, and extensively refurbished and improved in 2010.
Commitment
- One morning service every Sunday
- One evening choir practice each week
- Occasional evening and other services as requested
